I am a qualified teacher and have taught art and design in secondary schools and Further Education (FE) colleges – Southfields College, Leicester and Southgate College, London. I have also taught 3D animation in Higher Education Institutions –  School of Fine Art, University of Wolverhampton and Digital Design Studio, Glasgow School of Art. This experience spans a wide range of qualification levels from GCSE O and A level, BTech, HND, GNVQ, Foundation degrees, UG and PG Degrees, and Doctoral Supervision.

Throughout my teaching career I have always attempted to enhance my practice through engagement and experimentation with a range of teaching theories and approaches. I am open to innovating my teaching practice through the adoption of new technologies or philosophies, such as open social networking, collaborative and particpative learning, peer assessment.

I have been involved in the home education of my son which has led me to investigate the unschooling movement (Gatto) and deschooling society (Illich) and I am committed to the notion of lifelong learning.
